Festival Beginning and Scope
The GastroAntep Culture Road Festival has officially started in Gaziantep, the 21st stop of the 2026 Turkey Culture Road Festival. Experiencing this excitement for the fourth time, the city is hosting events between October 3 and 11.
As part of the nine-day organization, a total of 246 events are being held across 14 different venues, bringing together culture, art, and gastronomic heritage with visitors.
Cultural Values and Flavor Points
Many cultural values, ranging from the unique mosaics of Zeugma to Antep work, kutnu weaving, and coppersmithing, are featured in the festival program.
Gaziantep's world-renowned culinary culture is offered for participants to discover at more than 70 Flavor Points.
Protocol Speeches and Opening
Speaking at the opening program, Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber stated that it is a source of pride for the city to host the festival for the fourth time with its thousands of years of history, its location on the Silk Road, and its UNESCO-registered gastronomy.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan expressed that Gaziantep is one of the strongest supporting pillars of the route with its historical depth and cultural accumulation.
Mayor and Museum Visit
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin stated that the festival will bring together the city's abundance, culture, and hospitality at the same table.
Following the opening program, protocol members visited the exhibitions located in the Zeugma Mosaic Museum.
Concerts and Social Events
Throughout the nine-day festival, names such as Bengü, Murat Boz, Kıraç, Buray, Simge, Özcan Deniz, Hakan Altun, Mert Demir, and Sefo will give free concerts.
Within the scope of the events, various exhibitions, theatrical plays, and traditional art workshops are also being organized.
Children's Village and Closing Schedule
The Children's Village established at Gaziantep Festival Park has opened its doors to provide young visitors with entertaining and educational moments.
The festival will continue with various cultural and artistic events until October 11.
