International filmmakers have established a new academy with the aim of creating sustainable film education and production spaces in Gaza.
Leading Palestinian, Arab, and international filmmakers came together during the Venice Film Festival to announce the establishment of the Gaza Cinema Academy, aiming to support cultural work in the region.
Establishment of the Academy
A group of professionals consisting of Palestinian, Arab, and international filmmakers officially launched the Gaza Cinema Academy within the scope of the Venice Film Festival.
Aim and Objectives
The initiative aims to create sustainable film education, training, and production spaces in the Gaza Strip, and to connect Palestinian producers with the broader international community.
Focus on Youth and Women
In addition to film education and training, the academy focuses particularly on supporting young talents and women, as well as developing new Palestinian films.
