Haliç Sanat Fener Houses Open New Season with Three New Exhibitions
Restored with the contributions of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İBB Heritage, the Fener Houses in Balat welcomed the new culture and arts season with three different exhibitions.
Restored and brought back to cultural and artistic life by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İBB Heritage, the Fener Houses in Balat (Haliç Sanat 1, 2, and 3) opened their new season with three new exhibitions featuring works by Ertuğrul Çakır, Atila Çakır, and Caner Kaya.
Balat's Historic Buildings Meet Art
Left abandoned for many years, the Fener Houses in Balat were reintroduced to the city's culture and arts life under the name Haliç Sanat, thanks to comprehensive restoration work carried out by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and İBB Heritage.
Ludus Exhibition at Haliç Sanat 1
Meeting art lovers at the Haliç Sanat 1 venue, Ertuğrul Çakır's exhibition titled Ludus consists of oil paintings that address the contradictions within human nature through elements of play, popular culture, and visual memory.
Wings of the Earth at Haliç Sanat 2
Ceramic artist Atila Çakır's exhibition Wings of the Earth is hosted at Haliç Sanat 2, exploring themes of freedom, belonging, and the relationship with nature through bird figures combined with clay, glaze, and fire.
Works Left from the Wind at Haliç Sanat 3
Caner Kaya's exhibition Left from the Wind welcomes visitors at Haliç Sanat 3, questioning the concepts of memory, time, transience, and permanence through works produced from metal materials.
Visiting Information and Dates
Organized by İBB Culture and İBB Heritage, these three exhibitions can be visited completely free of charge every day except Mondays, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, until January 31, 2027.
