New Season at Fener Houses

Haliç Sanat at Fener Houses, repurposed as a culture and arts venue by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, presented its new season to art lovers with three different exhibitions. Exploring the themes of memory, freedom, belonging, and transformation, the exhibitions bring together different disciplines.

Ertuğrul Çakır's Ludus Exhibition

Ertuğrul Çakır's 'Ludus' exhibition at Haliç Sanat 1 focuses on the contradictions carried by humanity through play, popular culture, and collective visual memory. The artist reinterprets cinema and comic book characters using the oil painting technique.

Atila Çakır's Wings of the Earth

Opened at Haliç Sanat 2, Atila Çakır's 'Wings of the Earth' exhibition examines freedom, belonging, and the relationship established with nature through bird figures. The ceramic artist's plain and stylized forms consist of the combination of clay, glaze, and fire.

Caner Kaya's Left Behind by the Wind Works

Signed by Caner Kaya, the 'Left Behind by the Wind' exhibition at Haliç Sanat 3 addresses memory and the relationship of the past with the present, starting from the trace left by the wind. By using heavy materials such as metal, the contrast between transience and permanence is emphasized.

Visitor Information and Dates

Organized by IMM Culture and IMM Heritage, these three exhibitions can be visited until January 31, 2027. The exhibitions at Haliç Sanat can be viewed free of charge every day except Mondays between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
