Hâne Islamic Arts Exhibition Opens Its Doors in Ankara

Realized within the scope of the Turkey Culture Route Festival and sponsored by Ziraat Katılım, the Hâne Islamic Arts Exhibition opened its doors to visitors at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in the capital Ankara between September 19-27.

The Capital Journey of the Exhibition

The theme of this year's traditional Islamic Arts Exhibitions by the Albayrak Group, titled Hâne, is visiting the capital Ankara on the occasion of the Turkey Culture Route Festival. The event, sponsored by Ziraat Katılım, can be visited at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations between September 19-27.

High Attendance at the Opening Ceremony

Selim Terzi, General Manager of Living Heritage and Cultural Events of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Albayrak Media executives, and calligrapher İbrahim Şengül attended the opening program held on Saturday, September 19.

Having left behind many stops both at home and abroad, the exhibition was presented to the appreciation of art enthusiasts within the historical texture of the capital.

Works and Artists

The exhibition features 13 calligraphic works bearing the signatures of prominent names such as Mehmet Özçay, Seyit Ahmet Depeler, Abdurrahman Depeler, and Said Abuzeroğlu.

12 illumination works accompanying these calligraphic pieces also bring a distinct aesthetic and spiritual depth to the exhibition.

Spiritual and Thematic Content

The calligraphic works in the Hâne exhibition focus on verses and messages centering around family, home, and intergenerational bonds.

The spiritual elegance of verses selected from the surahs Al-Furqan, Al-Isra, Al-Ahqaf, Ya-Sin, and Al-Hujurat is reflected in the works.

Hosting of the Historical Venue

The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations serves with the structures of Mahmut Paşa Bedesten and Kurşunlu Han located at the foothills of Ankara Castle.

Selected as the European Museum of the Year in 1997, this historical venue adds a deep-rooted richness to the atmosphere of the exhibition.
