Historical works of Turkish music to be opened for free access through a digital archive
The General Directorate of Fine Arts is preparing to offer historical musical notes, hymns, ghazals, and concert recordings dating from the Seljuk and Ottoman eras to the present day for free access to art lovers on a digital platform.
The General Directorate of Fine Arts will launch a comprehensive digital archive featuring historical musical notes, hymns, ghazals, concert recordings, and stage performances dating from the Seljuk and Ottoman periods, making them available for art lovers and researchers.
New Season Activities Begin
29 orchestras, choirs, and ensembles affiliated with the General Directorate will meet with art lovers in the new art season. The new season activities will officially begin with special opening concerts to be held in Ankara and Istanbul.
Rich Heritage on a Single Platform
Hamparsum notes dating from the Seljuk and Ottoman periods, along with historical musical notes written in the Ottoman script, will be transferred to the digital archive. Listeners will be able to access tens of thousands of works free of charge through this platform.
High Interest at the International Level
While requests for cultural events from abroad continue to increase, it was reported that particularly for October 29 Republic Day, intensive applications were received from embassies and consulates across 42 different countries.
Support for Youth Productions
In order to encourage the productions of young artists, the Young Voices Music Competition and the Turkish Arts competition are planned to be continued and supported in the upcoming period.
