IDOB Opened the New Season with the 9th Symphony at the Atatürk Cultural Center

The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet stepped into the new season with the 9th Symphony, staged at the Atatürk Cultural Center in memory of the approaching 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death.

The First Event of the New Season

Since 2027 marks the 200th anniversary of the great composer Beethoven's death, many special events are planned for the new season. Within this scope, the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet also came together with art lovers.

Music lovers were welcomed at the Atatürk Cultural Center with the immortal musician's universal message exalting the ideal of unity, brotherhood, and peace.

Artists and Management

At the concert held at the Atatürk Cultural Center Türk Telekom Opera Hall, the IDOB Orchestra was conducted by İbrahim Yazıcı.

The IDOB Choir took the stage under the direction of Paolo Villa, while the soloist lineup featured soprano Dilruba Bilgi, mezzo-soprano Aylin Ateş, tenor Berk Dalkılıç, and bass Burak Bilgili.
