Treatment Process at the Military Hospital

It was reported that Omar al-Bashir, who has advanced age and various health problems, is being held in a military hospital in the capital Khartoum, where his treatment is continuing. His family stated that these hospital conditions might remain insufficient and desire his transfer to a health institution abroad.

Process of Removal from Power

The era of Omar al-Bashir, who stayed in power in Sudan for about 30 years, was shaken by mass protests that started nationwide in December 2018. Following these social events, the military intervened and Bashir was officially removed from office on April 11, 2019.
