International Aydıncık Science and Culture Events Started in Mersin
The organization, held for the third time this year, aims to contribute to the social life of the region.
Realized with the support of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and various institutions, the 3rd International Aydıncık Science and Culture Events opened its doors with the theme "Aydıncık and Mediterranean Cultures".
Start of the Event and Yörük Migration
The start of the organization, which aims to contribute to the scientific, cultural, and social life of Aydıncık, took place with a representative Yörük migration march that witnessed colorful scenes.
Symposium and Opening Conference
Within the scope of the program held at the Aydıncık Lütfi Elvan Cultural Center, a symposium titled "Aydıncık and Mediterranean Cultures" was held, while the opening conference was given by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taşağıl.
Comprehensive Activity Program
Organized under the general coordination of Kocaeli University, the events include academic studies as well as art, handmade productions, workshops for children, and various cultural activities.
Historical and Natural Site Tours
While science, culture, and art activities continue on the second day of the events, a tour of the Ancient City of Kelenderis and Gilindire Cave will be organized on September 3.
