Kahramanmaraş Culture Route Festival Continued with Second Day Events
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival welcomed visitors with sim sırma workshops, special exhibitions, and children's plays.
The Kahramanmaraş Culture Route Festival, implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, continued on its second day with a rich program appealing to citizens of all ages.
The Second Day of the Festival
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Kahramanmaraş Culture Route Festival left behind its second day with events appealing to all participants from 7 to 70.
Sim Sırma Workshop
Held at Kahramanmaraş Castle under the guidance of artist Nur Korkmaz, the Sim Sırma Workshop brought the deep-rooted techniques of Turkish embroidery together with participants.
This traditional technique, in which gold and silver-appearing metal threads are embroidered onto fabric, was also introduced to children within the scope of the workshop.
From Literature to Embroidery Exhibition
Prepared by Assist. Prof. Dr. Hidayet Bağcı at the Taş Medrese, the From Literature to Embroidery exhibition presented works visualizing literary texts with thread and fabric to art lovers.
Sacred Trust Relics
Meeting visitors at the Kahramanmaraş Museum, the Sacred Trust Relics of the Ottomans exhibition brought together works bearing the traces of the Ottoman period's bond with holy places and the Haramayn.
Children's Events
While children's special theatrical plays were staged at the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center, the Karaoke Caravan at the Children's Village witnessed colorful moments.
Duration of the Festival
Drawing attention with its wide participation areas, the Kahramanmaraş Culture Route Festival will continue with various events until September 20.
