New period expectations for the silver market from UBS
UBS predicts that silver prices will continue their upward trend in the coming period and shared its targets for the end of 2026 and 2027.
While recovery efforts are being observed in the silver market, which closed last week with a decline, global bank UBS announced its expectations for the ounce price of silver for 2027.
Current Status and Pricing in the Market
Following the declines in silver prices, recovery efforts are drawing attention in the new week. The precious metal completed the last week with a 2.6 percent decline and started the new week at the level of 63.86 dollars per ounce.
UBS's Future Targets
International financial institution UBS maintains its expectations regarding silver prices despite current market fluctuations. The bank expects the ounce price of silver to reach 70 dollars in December 2026 and 80 dollars in September 2027.
US Federal Reserve Meeting
At the focus of investors is the US Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting to be held on September 15-16. UBS expects a 25 basis point rate hike to come out of the meeting.
Decisive Factor for Metals
According to the bank, the most important element for precious metals will be the messages to be given after the meeting rather than the interest rate decision. How the markets interpret these messages will determine the direction of prices.
