Born in Kayseri on March 15, 1936, the artist's father was pilot Remzi Arsoy, and his maternal family traces back to Ali Talat Bey, the Mutasarrif of Crete.

Stepping into cinema with the encouragement of producer Fuat Rutkay, Arsoy starred in numerous successful productions in Yeşilçam starting from the 1950s.
