Aim and Scope of the Program
My Book Friend is built on a mentorship model that brings high school youth and children together around literature. The program aims to increase the participation of children and youth in cultural and artistic life.
The Role of Volunteer High School Students
Voluntary Hisar High School students, undertaking the role of facilitators in the program, will guide children in reading, discussion, and creative activities centered around selected books.
New Learning Environment
This initiative, jointly implemented by İKSV Alt Kat and Hisar Schools, carries concepts such as inquiry, association, and responsibility for learning into a different environment outside of school.
Workshop Activities and Themes
Throughout the season, in eighteen workshops shaped around nine books selected under the main theme of awareness, children will engage in inquiry, discussion, and creative production activities in addition to reading.
Guest Authors and Participation Conditions
Different authors who will be guests on the program each month will accompany the workshop activities. All workshops within the scope of the program will be held completely free of charge at İKSV Alt Kat.
Application and Reservation Information
The reservation form for weekday sessions aimed at public school students and weekend workshops open to the participation of all children in the 7-10 age group will be accessible starting from September 30th.
