Miniature Exhibition of Ottoman Heritage in the Balkans Opens in Sarajevo
An exhibition featuring miniatures of Ottoman architectural works in the Balkan geography met with art lovers at the Gazi Husrev Bey Hanikah.
At the Gazi Husrev Bey Hanikah, a special exhibition of 35 works consisting of miniatures of Ottoman architectural works in the Balkan geography was inaugurated with the sponsorship of Kuveyt Türk.
Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition
Diplomatic figures and numerous art lovers attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition held at the Gazi Husrev Bey Hanikah.
Turkey's Ambassador to Sarajevo Emin Akseki and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Sarajevo Vilayet Guliyev also took part in the event.
Scope of the Works
The exhibition displays miniatures of historical architectural works selected from 11 countries and 29 cities located in the Balkan geography.
Visitors have the opportunity to examine many important works from regions such as North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Artist's Statements
Artist Anmaç stated that the main purpose of the project was to make the traces of the Ottomans in the Balkans visible once again through the traditional art of miniature.
