Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy Hosted His North Macedonian Counterpart

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy hosted North Macedonia's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Sedat Süleymani, at the Republic Museum in Ankara. During this official meeting, the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and opportunities for cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy held an official meeting by hosting North Macedonia's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Sedat Süleymani, at the Republic Museum in the capital, Ankara.

Minister Ersoy congratulated his counterpart Sedat Süleymani on his new appointment and stated that this visit would contribute to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.

Historical and Cultural Ties

Expressing that there are centuries-old historical, cultural, and human ties between the peoples of the two countries, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy emphasized that this shared past forms a solid foundation for future steps.

Areas of Cooperation

During the bilateral meeting, joint projects and collaborations that could be implemented in the future in the culture and tourism sectors between Turkey and North Macedonia were discussed in detail.

Minister Ersoy noted that Turkey has the will to take relations between the two countries to a further level and that they attach importance to increasing inter-institutional dialogue.

Exhibition Visit

Following the meeting, Minister Ersoy and guest minister Sedat Süleymani visited the Journey of Money exhibition opened at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations within the scope of the Ankara Culture Road Festival.

Presented to art lovers by the Brand City Ankara Association, the exhibition addressed Ottoman heritage in Macedonian lands through the history of money, architecture, and urbanism.
