Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu stated in his speech at the Global Business Summit 2026 held in New York, USA, that Turkey is one of the countries offering the best healthcare services in the world.

Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu attended the Global Business Summit 2026 event organized by the Turkish-American Business Association in New York, USA, where he is attending the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations. Memişoğlu drew attention to the importance of international collaborations in making Turkey a strong country in health technologies, device and drug manufacturing, alongside its healthcare services.
Accessibility and Quality in Healthcare
Memişoğlu expressed that Turkey has become one of the countries providing accessible and high-quality healthcare services over the past 25 years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It was emphasized that Turkey is a country that provides healthcare services to 3 million people coming from abroad every year with its healthcare system capacity.
Technology Production and Advanced Treatments
Stating that along with developments in the molecular and biological fields, a domestic heart-lung machine can now be produced in Turkey, Minister Memişoğlu noted that many health technology production incubations have started in the past year. Turkey has now become capable of performing the most advanced molecular immunological treatments called Car-T in its four centers.
Relations Between the US and Turkey
Minister Memişoğlu underlined that the healthcare capacities of Turkey and the United States complement each other. He noted that Turkey is equivalent to America and Europe in terms of healthcare standards knowledge and production, and serves as an important strategic hub capable of reaching everywhere.
US Contacts and Meetings
Stating that he arrived in the United States last Wednesday, Memişoğlu mentioned that he met with tradespeople, business people, scientists, and biotechnology companies in San Francisco. He stated that he met with his counterpart Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. in Washington D.C. last Friday.
Call for Investment and Cooperation
Minister Memişoğlu conveyed that the country, which is accessible in preventive medicine, family medicine, and healthcare services, is also striving to make technology producible. He emphasized that they have created an area in Turkey where everyone contributing to health technology and production will not regret investing in the future.
