Denizli Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a comprehensive cooking workshop series to pass down traditional recipes inherited from grandmothers to new generations and to revive production methods facing extinction.

A New Step for Traditional Flavors

The workshop series implemented by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality will welcome participants under the theme "Flavors from the Past, Recipes Remaining for the Future."

Through these events, it is aimed to bring traditional production methods, which are increasingly less practiced in homes, back into the spotlight.

First Event Begins with Tarhana Making

The opening event of the series will take place on Friday, September 18, at 10:00 AM with the preparation of tarhana, which holds an important place in Denizli's cuisine.

The preparation of tarhana will be demonstrated hands-on at the Fatih Professional Kitchen Workshop located next to the Fatih Social Activity Center.

A Wide Range of Recipes Will Be Offered

The workshop series, starting with tarhana, is planned to continue in the upcoming period with various traditional products and local flavors.

Within the scope of the program, many different workshops will be organized, such as yogurt fermentation, kefir, cheese, tükenmez (traditional fermented drink), sübye, pickles, sherbet, and bread making.

Application Process and Participation Conditions

Citizens who are interested in traditional culinary culture and wish to share knowledge in this field will be able to apply for the events.

Applications for participation are made via the online application form announced by the municipality or by scanning the QR code on the posters.
