Operations Conducted in 15 Provinces Within the Scope of Family Security
Within the framework of the "Family is Safe" operation carried out in 15 provinces, judicial proceedings were initiated against numerous individuals and organizations, while access bans were imposed on various associations and social media accounts.
Within the framework of the ten-year Family Year vision and the "Family is Safe" operation, judicial proceedings were initiated against 162 suspects, 9 associations, and 13 businesses in 15 provinces. Access bans were imposed on certain associations as well as numerous social media accounts and websites by the Istanbul 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace.
Operations Carried Out in 15 Provinces
Judicial proceedings were carried out targeting a total of 162 suspects, 9 associations, and 13 businesses in operations organized across 15 provinces under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Aydin, and Mersin.
Associations and Accounts Subject to Access Bans
The Istanbul 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace issued decisions to block access to a total of 73 accounts and websites belonging to associations such as Kaos GL, CETAD, Muamma LGBTI+, and SPoD, as well as certain social media influencers.
Digital Media and the Cultural Industry
Experts and civil society representatives stated that the ongoing efforts should not be limited solely to association activities, and that content on television series, films, cinema, and digital streaming platforms should also be addressed.
Assessments by Experts
Democrat Platform General Secretary Atty. Yurdal Kilicer, USMED General President Said Ercan, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akin from Istanbul Medeniyet University emphasized that family security is a vital survival issue as critical as border security.
