Theater Group on the Brink of Closure

Established by Kurdish youth in Mardin and carrying out theater activities for years, Şanenşîn Performance has become unable to continue its work due to the deepening economic crisis. High expenditures and increasing costs have left the community in a difficult situation.

Financial Impossibilities and Venue Problems

Emîn Ay, one of the group leaders, stated that they could not progress due to worsening economic conditions. Expressing that they suffer from major financial difficulties regarding finding a venue, stage, costumes, and technical issues, Ay said they would disband if they cannot find a solution.

"One More Ticket for Şaneşin" Campaign

A solidarity campaign named "One More Ticket for Şaneşin" was launched to prevent the curtain of Kurdish theater from closing. Theater lovers were asked to support the group by purchasing tickets.

Call for Support to Art Lovers and the Public

While the option to purchase a support ticket was offered for those living outside Mardin, it was emphasized that the stage is a cultural space. Artists invited the public and all art lovers to participate in the campaign so that this light would not go out.
