Science, Art and Innovation Academy Being Established for Youth in Urla

Urla Municipality and the Turkish Education Foundation have implemented the cooperation protocol for the TEV Urla Youth and Life Academy to support the development of young people in many fields such as science, technology, culture, art and environment.

Versatile Education and Workshop Opportunities for Youth

Urla Municipality and the Turkish Education Foundation signed a cooperation protocol for the TEV Urla Youth and Life Academy to enable young people to improve themselves in different fields.

Realized with the slogan "Learn, Discover, Share, Develop", the project aims to support young people not only academically but also in terms of social and personal skills.

Special Support for Needy Youth and Scholarship Holders

Within the scope of the cooperation, Turkish Education Foundation scholarship holders as well as young people living in Urla with limited financial means will be able to benefit from the academy's work.

It is also planned to create a special quota of 15 people for young people to be determined by Urla Municipality.

Comprehensive Science, Sports and Environment Program

The academy program will include current topics such as science, technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as activities oriented towards sailing, marine safety, sports and maritime culture.

Thanks to the trainings to be organized in the fields of culture-art, cultural heritage and environment, it is aimed for young people to direct their attention to different fields of interest.

Youth-Focused Evaluations by the Mayor

Urla Mayor Selçuk Balkan stated that preparing young people for the future cannot be evaluated solely by school success and drew attention to the importance of opportunities in different fields.

Mayor Balkan stated that they have established a permanent structure in Urla where young people can reveal their potentials and that they will continue to support them in every aspect of life.
