The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company held its first stage encounter in Turkey within the framework of the Istanbul Culture Trail Festival with the "Stanislavsky Ballet Gala" titled "Figures and Counterparts".

First Encounter Within the Scope of the Festival

The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company realized its first stage encounter in Turkey at the AKM Theater Hall within the scope of the Istanbul Culture Trail Festival.

In this special gala program, held with the intense participation of art lovers on the fifth day of the festival, distinguished works bringing together the classical ballet tradition with contemporary choreography were brought to the stage.

Works of the Gala Program

In the first part of the night, the single-act work "In Dim Figures" prepared by Artistic Director and Choreographer Maxim Sevagin to the music of Antonio Vivaldi met with the audience.

Following the piece, sections and duets from important productions selected from the classical and contemporary ballet repertoire such as "The Talisman", "Reflections", "Illusive Ball" and "Minus 16" were staged.

History of the Company

Founded in the 1930s, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company combines its long-standing stage experience with the choreographic approaches of different eras.

Housing the choreographic heritage of Vladimir Burmeister as well as classical works and the works of today's leading choreographers in its repertoire, the company has previously organized tours worldwide.
