Official statement from the Turkish Parliament regarding health check allegations concerning advisors
The parliamentary administration denied allegations that special health screenings would be conducted for advisors, announcing that the process is a legal obligation covering all personnel.
The General Secretariat of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) reported that allegations in the press regarding special health checks for members of parliament's advisors do not reflect the truth.
Official Statement Made Regarding the Allegations
In a written statement issued by the TBMM General Secretariat, clarity was brought to recent news reports featured in some media outlets.
Carried Out Within the Scope of Legal Obligation
It was stated that, in accordance with regulations, employees' health examinations are carried out at periods determined by law, taking into account the nature of the employee and the work performed, as well as the hazard class of the workplace.
It was noted that the practice is not a special arrangement targeting any specific personnel group and is based on the Occupational Health and Safety Law.
Over One Thousand Five Hundred Personnel Examined
It was shared that health examinations of 1560 personnel working in various units under the Administrative Organization of the TBMM Presidency have been completed since May.
It was stated that health screening procedures for other personnel within the institution continue in accordance with the planned schedule.
