Traces of a Century Exhibition Opens in Honor of the Koç Group's 100th Anniversary
Focusing on the memory of art and culture that parallels the history of the Republic, the exhibition welcomes visitors at Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts.
Prepared in honor of the Koç Group's 100th anniversary, the Traces of a Century: Koç Group and Art exhibition showcases the cultural and artistic memory of the Republican era, accompanied by the institution's own archival documents.
Exhibition Visitor Information and Dates
Prepared specially for the 100th anniversary of the Koç Group, the Traces of a Century: Koç Group and Art exhibition has been opened to art lovers at the Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts center.
Located at İstiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu, this special event can be visited free of charge between April 8 and November 29, 2026.
Focusing on Cultural and Artistic Memory
This comprehensive exhibition not only addresses the commercial history of a company but also focuses on the culture and art memory of Turkey, which underwent a major transformation alongside the Republic.
All the works, documents, and photographs featured in this exhibition, which took two years to prepare, were brought together as a result of meticulous work.
Special Collections and Institutional Archives
All materials included in the exhibition were provided by Arter, the Ömer Koç and Ali Koç collections, as well as the Yapı Kredi Historical Archive and other institutions affiliated with the group.
Since the institution utilized its own archival sources, no external borrowed works were taken, and the collection was formed entirely from pieces within its own body.
Historical Documents and Female Artists
Visitors have the opportunity to examine many important historical documents up close in the exhibition, such as invoices and typography examples from the period of the Alphabet Reform.
Additionally, valuable works by pioneer female artists such as Mihri Müşfik, Müfide Kadri, and Sabiha Bozcalı are brought together with a wide audience at the exhibition.
Early Period Posters and the Establishment of Museums
Early period posters prepared by İhap Hulusi Görey for Aygaz and visual documents regarding architectural structures form the striking sections of the exhibition.
Furthermore, the founding stories of the Sadberk Hanım Museum and the Rahmi M. Koç Museum are also covered in detail in this comprehensive event.
Publishing, Theater, and Biennial Supports
The deep-rooted publishing activities carried out by the institution, notably the Doğan Kardeş magazine, are exhibited along a broad timeline.
Theater activities supporting cultural heritage and international biennial sponsorships are also among the main headings addressed in the exhibition.
