Well-known figures of the financial world and former executives were brought before a judge and arrested in the ongoing fund investigation.
Within the scope of the fund investigation that gained momentum and was deepened in mid-September, numerous suspects were arrested, including executives from Tera Yatırım, Pusula Portföy, and Doğa Sigorta, as well as former Central Bank Vice President Erkan Kilimci.
Initial Stage of the Investigation and Arrests
Within the framework of the investigation that gained momentum in mid-September, Pusula Portföy Chairman of the Board Muhammet Yarız was arrested on September 15.
Decisions Regarding Tera and Pusula Executives
With the deepening of the investigation, many senior figures within Tera Yatırım Holding and Pusula Portföy were arrested and sent to prison.
In this context, arrest decisions were issued for Emre Tezmen, Emre Alkin, Kerem Alkin, Alper Öztürk, Serdar Turhan, Muhammet Yarız, Namık Kemal Gökalp, Altunç Kumova, and İbrahim Bekçi.
Referral of Doğa Sigorta and Tera Members
In the ongoing judicial process, Doğa Sigorta Chairman of the Board Nihat Kırmızı and Tera Yatırım board members Bülent Uygun and Abdulkadir Özkan were also among the arrested individuals.
Other Suspects Referred to the Courthouse
While numerous suspects referred to the courthouse after prosecutor interrogations were arrested by court order, judicial control measures were ruled for some suspects.
Former Central Bank Vice President Arrested
It was decided to arrest 19 suspects who were detained on September 25 and referred to the Istanbul Courthouse within the scope of the investigation.
Among the arrested individuals was Erkan Kilimci, who previously served as vice president at the Central Bank.
PDP Statement and Resignation Process
It was known that Erkan Kilimci had served as the Vice Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Tera Finansal Yatırımlar Holding AŞ until recently.
In the company's statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP) seven days ago, it was announced that Kilimci and Hedef Holding Board Member Namık Kemal Gökalp had resigned from their positions of their own volition.
