DOSTEK College Secures Second Place in TEKNOFEST Electric Vehicle Competitions
High school students achieved a major success in the prestigious organization where university and high school teams competed in the same category.
DOSTEK College achieved the success of becoming the runner-up in Turkey in the finals where university and high school teams competed together at the 2026 TEKNOFEST International Electric Vehicle Competitions.
Challenging Process and Intense Preparation
The competition format changed this year and significant regulations in the specifications brought a challenging process for the teams. Despite the short time elapsed from the announcement of the specifications to the competitions, the teachers and students of the school carried out an intense work.
The team managed to prepare the electric vehicle, which they developed entirely with their own labor, knowledge, and skills without receiving any external support, for this challenging competition environment in a short time.
Stages and Final Track
During the competition process, a total of 62 teams passed the Technical Team Report stage, while 45 teams managed to remain in the Technical Video Control stage. Of these teams, 34 were university and 11 were high school teams.
A total of 26 teams, successfully completing the technical inspection stage consisting of 20 university and 6 high school teams, earned the right to take to the track in the finals.
Podium Excitement
Sweating it out on the same platform with university teams in the final race, Erciyes University came in first, while DOSTEK College achieved second place and Pamukkale University obtained third place.
This degree shown by high school students against university teams created a major resonance in the organization.
Won the Appreciation of the Jury
The success of the students was not limited to the placement; they drew special attention from the jury with their presentations during technical checks and their answers to questions.
The jury members greeted the students' mastery of the vehicle with praise, set their practices as an example to other teams, and additionally congratulated them.
Board of Directors Evaluation
Denizli OIZ Chairman of the Board and DOSAV Foundation Chairman Selim Yaymanoğlu stated that the degree obtained on the same platform with university teams is a source of pride for them.
Yaymanoğlu emphasized that the fact that the project was brought to life entirely through student and teacher labor without receiving external support makes the success even more meaningful.
