10 Billion TL Green Transformation Package from VakıfBank and Zero Waste Foundation
A 10 billion TL financing package has been launched for circular economy, resource efficiency, and green transformation investments in cooperation with VakıfBank and the Zero Waste Foundation.
A comprehensive financing package of 10 billion TL was announced to support circular economy, resource efficiency, and green transformation investments through a partnership between VakıfBank and the Zero Waste Foundation.
Scope and Objectives of the Financing Package
Within the scope of the strategic cooperation signed by VakıfBank General Manager Osman Arslan and Zero Waste Foundation President Samed Ağırbaş, financing will be provided for investments in a wide range of areas from resource efficiency to recycling and reuse.
With the newly created package, it is aimed to reach over 500 institutions and projects in the first phase and create a total financing volume of 10 billion TL.
Loan and Maturity Terms Determined
Within the framework of the package, maturity opportunities of up to 50 million TL and up to 60 months are provided for investment loans, and up to 120 months for large-scale project financing.
While financing of up to 10 million TL and up to 24 months is provided for working capital needs, SMEs' transformation investments are supported with a 3 billion TL KGF guarantee support.
Sustainable Financing Approach
VakıfBank General Manager Osman Arslan stated that they consider the sustainable financing approach as an important part of their development-oriented value banking strategies.
Arslan emphasized that this package is not a one-time product, but the first step of new financial solutions to be developed in the field of circular economy and green transformation.
Zero Waste and COP31 Agenda
Zero Waste Foundation President and COP31 High-Level Climate Champion Samed Ağırbaş drew attention to the role of finance in circular economy transformation and stated the importance of preventing waste at its source.
Climate Change Head Prof. Dr. Halil Hasar announced that the zero waste movement initiated under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan will be brought to the COP agenda for the first time with COP31.
