12.5 Billion Liras in Grants to Be Provided for Rural Development Investments
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that a total of 12.5 billion liras in grant support will be provided for rural development and efficient irrigation projects.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that a total of 12.5 billion liras in grant support will be provided within the scope of the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program and Efficient Agricultural Irrigation Systems.
Details of the Grant Support
The financial details of the support program announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry have been shared with the public. In this context, a total of 12.5 billion liras in grant resources will be transferred in two different areas.
Rural Development Investment Program
Within the framework of the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program, grant support of 11.3 billion liras will be provided to a total of 3,180 projects. Thanks to these grants, 19.5 billion liras worth of investments will be implemented in rural areas.
Priority for Family Businesses
The highest share of the supports was allocated to family businesses with 2,164 projects. Women and young entrepreneurs made up 1,751 of these businesses, and 77 percent of the budget was allocated to this area.
Efficient Agricultural Irrigation
Within the scope of Efficient Agricultural Irrigation Systems Applications, grant support of 1.2 billion liras will be provided to 2,047 projects. Thus, it was stated that efficiency in agricultural water use has been prioritized.
