12.5 Billion Liras in Grants to Be Provided Under the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program
Within the framework of the new program announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, billions of liras in financing will be transferred for rural projects and irrigation systems.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that a total of 12.5 billion liras in grant support will be provided within the framework of the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program.
Details of the Grant Support
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared important information with the public via his social media account regarding the application results of the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program. According to the statement, it has become clear that the total amount of grants to be provided under the program will reach 12.5 billion liras.
Projects and Investment Volume
According to the disclosed data, it was decided to provide 11.3 billion liras in grant support to 3,180 projects within the scope of the program. It was stated that thanks to these grants, a total of 19.5 billion liras worth of investments will be implemented in rural regions.
Priority for Family Businesses
It was stated that the largest share of the supports was allocated to family businesses, and priority was given to 2,164 projects within this scope. Information was shared that 1,751 of the supported family businesses consist of female and young entrepreneurs.
Budget Allocation
It was reported that a very significant portion, namely 77 percent, of the Rural Development Investment Program budget was directly allocated to family businesses. Thus, it is aimed to strengthen small and medium-sized producers in rural areas.
Efficiency in Agricultural Irrigation
Within the framework of the program, not only agricultural investments but also irrigation systems are supported. It was announced that 1.2 billion liras in grant support will be provided to 2,047 projects within the scope of Economical Agricultural Irrigation Systems Applications.
Efficiency Target in Water Usage
It was emphasized that efficiency in agricultural water usage is placed at the center with the irrigation grants provided. With this step, it is aimed to make significant progress in combating drought and effectively managing water resources.
