15 detained in fund investigation conducted on market fraud allegations
In an investigation based on a Capital Markets Board report, 15 people, including two Tera executives, were detained.
15 people were detained in a fund investigation launched over market fraud allegations at Katılım Evim Tasarruf Finansmanı AŞ in line with a Capital Markets Board report.
Basis of the Investigation
The operation was organized upon the Capital Markets Board's report alleging that market fraud was committed at Katılım Evim Tasarruf Finansmanı AŞ.
While 15 people were detained within the scope of the operations carried out, the efforts of security forces to capture 10 fugitive suspects are ongoing.
Freezing of Assets
In line with the audit report of the Capital Markets Board, the assets of the managers of nine companies were frozen in the fund investigation.
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced in a post on his social media account that the money and asset movements of the managers and authorities connected to the relevant companies have been frozen.
Status of Tera Investment Executives
New detentions were carried out in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism Financing and Laundering Crimes Investigation Bureau.
In this context, it was stated that Tera Yatırım Board Members Bülent Uygun and Abdulkadir Özkan were also among the detained suspects.
Previous Detentions and Measures
In previous stages of the investigation, Pusula Holding Chairman of the Board Serdar Turhan and Tera Yatırım Holding Chairman of the Board Emre Tezmen had been detained.
In the ongoing process, a total of four suspects are currently in custody, and travel bans abroad and asset measures are applied against 51 people.
