20 Suspects Referred to Courthouse in Capital Markets Transactions Investigation
20 people, including business people and executives who were detained within the scope of the capital markets investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were brought to the courthouse.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding transactions in the capital markets, 20 suspects, including business people and company executives, were referred to the courthouse.
Those Referred to the Courthouse Within the Scope of the Investigation
Investigations regarding transactions carried out in the capital markets are ongoing by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Bureau of Investigation for the Financing of Terrorism and Money Laundering. The procedures of the suspects in custody at the police station have been completed.
The 20 suspects, who underwent health checks, were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
MASAK and Financial Data Requests
In a writ sent by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to MASAK on September 17, it was requested to obtain financial data regarding the executives of various holdings and securities companies. The full identification information of the company executives, as well as their overseas money and crypto asset transfers, were requested.
Detention and Search Processes
Within the scope of the investigation, Tera Investment Holding Chairman of the Board Emre Tezmen, Emre Alkin, Kerem Alkin, Alper Öztürk, and Serdar Turhan had been detained. Searches had been conducted by police teams in the offices of some of the suspects.
Previous Arrests and Releases
Some suspects referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station had been arrested previously. Meanwhile, some individuals who were apprehended earlier within the scope of the investigation were released following their statements at the prosecutor's office.
