Bilateral Relations and New Steps
Cooperation between Syria and Azerbaijan gained momentum when Azerbaijan reopened its embassy in Damascus in February 2025 after a 13-year hiatus.
In August 2025, the shipment of Azerbaijani natural gas to Syria via Turkey began, and the two countries agreed to establish a joint business council.
