According to a recent public opinion poll conducted by GENAR, 67.3 percent of the society in Turkey does not trust the economic management. While high inflation and the policy rate being kept constant at 37 percent are criticized, a loss of trust in the economic management is also noteworthy within the People's Alliance base.
GENAR Survey and Crisis of Confidence
GENAR's latest public opinion survey strikingly reveals the falling pulse of the street and the lack of trust in the economic management. According to the research, 67.3 percent of the society does not trust the economic management, and 32.2 percent of this group states that they do not trust it at all directly.
Loss of Confidence Among Political Party Bases
The severity of the picture is becoming evident among political party bases. 53.6 percent of MHP voters and 31.8 percent of AK Party voters, which is about a third, do not trust the economic management. Even AK Party voters see the economy as the most successful area by a rate of only 2.8 percent.
