Agricultural Enterprises and Production Sites Inspected in Düzce

Düzce Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Esra Uzun visited agricultural production areas and livestock enterprises operating in Yeşilyayla Village of Gümüşova District, receiving detailed information from authorities about the ongoing activities.
Blueberry and Aronia Production
Provincial Director Esra Uzun examined the blueberry production area in Yeşilyayla Village, observing firsthand 800 plants grown in pots with a drip irrigation system on a 2-deare area.
Additionally, information was gathered regarding the ongoing land preparation activities aimed at cultivating 12,000 aronia plants on a 38-deare area to increase production capacity.
Emphasis on Contribution to Rural Economy
Provincial Director Uzun drew attention to the importance of introducing alternative products with high added value into the production pattern, stating that these investments strengthen the rural economy.
Horse Farm Visit
Within the scope of the program, a horse farm located in Yeşilyayla Village was visited, and the breeding activities and care conditions at the facility were inspected.
It was noted that there are a total of 18 horses on the farm, of which 6 are foals, 5 are young horses, and 7 are mares.
Support Message to Producers
Esra Uzun stated that they attach importance to producers adopting innovative models and that they will continue to stand by producers in the field along with technical personnel.
During the visits, Provincial Director Uzun was accompanied by Gümüşova District Director Aydın Koca, Branch Director Cem Özmen, and technical personnel.
