Assets Frozen in Fund Fraud Investigation

As the number of arrests rises to 51 in the capital markets fund fraud investigation, Minister of Justice Gürlek announced that the assets of numerous individuals and institutions have been frozen.

Within the scope of the fund fraud investigation conducted in the capital markets, the total number of detainees reached 51 with the arrest of 6 more people. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that as a result of the examinations, the assets of 46 legal entities, 18 funds, and 42 real persons have been frozen.

New Arrests in the Investigation

Among the suspects detained within the scope of the investigations carried out regarding transactions in the capital market, those referred to the court appeared before the judge.

As a result of the evaluations, 6 suspects were arrested, while judicial control measures were decided to be applied to 2 suspects.

Individuals and Funds Whose Assets Were Frozen

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek drew attention to the outflows of money from the funds in a statement made on his social media account.

As a result of the examination of money outflows between July 1 and August 16, the assets of 46 legal entities, 18 funds, and 42 real persons were frozen.

Travel Bans Imposed Abroad

Within the framework of the ongoing judicial investigations and examinations, new measures were taken for numerous suspects in addition to the individuals whose assets were frozen.

In this context, it was officially announced that a travel ban abroad was imposed on a total of 37 suspects.

Meeting Decisions from Economic Administration

It was reported that the economic bureaucracy came together under the chairmanship of President Erdoğan following the fund crisis.

In line with the decisions taken at the meeting, it is planned to prioritize the payments of investors with less than 1 million TL in the system.

Developments on the Liquidation List

It is stated that some investment companies that have communicated they can make payments to investors may be removed from the liquidation list.

The initiatives of institutions such as Bulls, Pardus, and A1 Capital regarding making payments to their investors draw attention.

MASAK Writs and Investigations

With the writs sent by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), it was requested to obtain financial data.

Financial data regarding the executives of companies such as Pusula Finans Holding, Tera Yatırım, Hedef Holding, and Bulls Yatırım are being examined.
