On Borsa İstanbul, the BIST 100 index completed Tuesday with a 2.40 percent loss in value at 12,290.58 points. The index decreased by 302.18 points compared to the previous close, while the total transaction volume materialized as 108.8 billion liras.

Sectoral Changes Experienced

Along with the sales effective throughout the day, the BIST 100 index moved in a downward trend. While the banking index gained 0.10 percent in value, the holding index dropped by 2.05 percent. Among sector indices, the one that rose the most was transportation with 0.59 percent, while the sector index that lost the most value was financial leasing factoring with an 8.20 percent decline.

The Agenda Followed by Investors

Domestically, the BIST 100 index completed the day with a decline under the influence of widespread sales. At the focus of investors were the steps that could be taken following the meeting held under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Markets Eye Upcoming Data

Analysts stated that tomorrow the unemployment rate and foreign trade balance domestically, growth in the UK, the unemployment rate and inflation in Germany, and the ADP private sector employment data in the US will be monitored.
