BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul completed the first half of the day with a decline
With the downward movement in the markets during the first half of the day, the total transaction volume reached the level of 45.2 billion liras.
The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul decreased by 150.8 points in the first half of the day to 12,441.94 points, while sectoral trends varied.
First Half Developments in the BIST 100 Index
Moving in a downward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index recorded a decrease of 1.20 percent compared to the previous close as of 13.00.
Transaction Volume and Sectoral Distribution
While the total transaction volume in the market materialized at the level of 45.2 billion liras, transportation became the top gainer among sector indices with 1.38 percent.
The sector that lost the most among sectors was recorded as the financial leasing factoring sector with a decline of 8.12 percent.
Status of Banking and Holding Indices
While the banking index gained 0.66 percent in value during the first half of the day, the holding index experienced a loss of 1.14 percent.
Technical Expectations of Market Analysts
Analysts stated that the JOLTS job openings data would be monitored for the rest of the day, while sharing technical support and resistance levels.
It was noted that the 12,300 and 12,200 point levels are in the position of support in the BIST 100 index, while 12,600 and 12,700 points are resistance points.
