The BIST 100 index declined by 31.81 points and 0.22 percent compared to the previous close at the open, falling to 14,543.70 points. Yesterday's transactions were completed with a 0.24 percent loss in value at 14,575.51 points.
Status of Sectors
While the banking index gained 0.67 percent at the open, the holding index experienced a 0.57 percent loss in value. Among the sectors, the one that gained the most was the forest paper printing sector with 1.15 percent.
Sector with the Most Decline
When examining different sector indices, the area showing the largest decline was recorded as the financial leasing factoring sector with a 9.09 percent loss in value.
Global Markets and Fed Expectation
In global markets, a cautious atmosphere continues to prevail as the statements to be made by US Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium are awaited.
Agenda Data and Technical Levels
While domestic economic confidence index and foreign trade balance are being monitored, analysts stated that 14,500 and 14,400 points are in the position of support, and 14,700 and 14,800 points are resistance for the BIST 100.
