The COP31 Business Forum New York Dialogue Program was held in New York, jointly hosted by Bloomberg and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the COP31 Private Sector Ambassador. Leaders of the global business world came together at the meeting.

Emphasis on the Defense Line Against the Climate Crisis

Speaking at the program, Minister Murat Kurum stated that people feel safe by increasing arms expenditures, but the greatest threat is the climate crisis. He stated that the real defense line of states should be nature and climate, not borders.

Expectation of Investment and Solutions from the Private Sector

Conveying that they expect the purchasing power of the business world to be mobilized, Kurum called on the private sector to bring their projects, investments, technological solutions, and partnerships to Antalya.

Renewable Energy and Competitiveness

Ali Y. Koç, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koç Holding, who attended the meeting, said that renewable clean energy must be increased to make the country more competitive and enable companies to compete with international giants.
