Can Tho City Organizes Workshop on Intellectual Property Asset Management
At a workshop held in Can Tho city, the management and commercialization of intellectual property assets in the context of the digital economy were discussed.
Organized by the Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology, the workshop addressed new goals and proposed solutions to strengthen the effective management and commercialization of intellectual property assets during the digital transformation process.
Purpose and Objectives of the Workshop
The Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a comprehensive workshop on the morning of September 24 with the aim of making intellectual property a driving force for development.
The city aims to achieve an annual growth rate of 16-18% in patent applications and protection certificates by 2030.
Current Situation and Statistics
It was announced that a total of 12,187 industrial property registration applications have been recorded in Can Tho to date.
The city also implemented 20 science and technology projects with a budget of over 30 billion VND to foster the creation of intellectual property.
Challenges Faced
It was emphasized that there are certain obstacles in the commercialization of intellectual property and many businesses fail to develop strategies after obtaining patents.
It was stated that small and medium-sized enterprises suffer from a lack of expert personnel and experience in this field.
