The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has officially announced that the number of unique investors affected by liquidated funds, regarding which various estimates existed in the market, is 455,758.

Number of Investors Clarified

With a bulletin published by the Capital Markets Board, official status was given to the number of unique investors victimized due to liquidated funds. According to the statement based on Central Registry Agency records, the total number of unique investors in these funds was finalized as 455,758.

Step Regarding Victimhood from Ministries

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated in a statement regarding the fund investigation that they held meetings with the Minister of Treasury and Finance. It was stated that the process was evaluated in detail during meetings attended by the heads of the CMB and the BRSA, and concrete steps will be taken in a short time to resolve the grievances. Minister Gürlek also emphasized that the President is closely monitoring this process.

Fund Outflows and Deposit Increase

According to TEFAS data, the total value of money market funds dropped from a level of 3.292 trillion TL on September 11 to 2.844 trillion TL on September 21. During the specified period of September 11-21, approximately 253.4 billion TL in net investor outflows occurred from money market funds. When examining BRSA data, total TL deposits rose from 19.7 trillion TL to 20.1 trillion TL between September 11-17, recording a total increase of 327.9 billion TL.
