Investigations regarding capital market transactions continue to expand with new detentions. While the lifting of asset measures on a total of 45 companies and 19 funds raises questions, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that investor rights are prioritized.
Market Manipulation Allegations
It was stated that those responsible will be held accountable within the scope of the investigation, regardless of economic or political superiority. It was reported that structures such as Terra and Pusula manipulated stock prices by excessively inflating them shortly before going public, and extraordinary price increases occurred in stocks such as Özata Denizcilik.
Priority for Small Investors
It was emphasized that during the liquidation process, upon the instructions of the President, the rights of investors with 1 million TL and below will be protected first and the process will be expedited. It was reported that groups executing mass capital outflows using insider information within the past month have been placed under scrutiny.
