Central Bank Increases FAST System Transaction Limits to 300 Thousand Liras
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has tripled the money transfer and merchant payment limits in the FAST system, raising them to 300 thousand liras.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has updated the upper limits by making an important regulation on the FAST system transaction limits, which allow instant money transfers 24/7.
A New Era Begins in FAST Limits
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey announced that the FAST system transaction limits have been increased in line with intense user interest and the changing needs of the payment ecosystem. With the new regulation, the capacity offered by the system has been expanded.
Money Transfer and Payment Request Limits
With the new decision, the current upper limit of 100 thousand liras applied to standard money transfers and transactions carried out via the Payment Request layer service has been increased to 300 thousand liras.
Commercial Transactions and QR Code Payments
The current transaction limit of 250 thousand liras for merchant payments with dynamic verification made using the FAST-TR QR Code, which is becoming widespread in commercial life and shopping, has also been raised to 300 thousand liras.
Implementation Date and Validity
These new transaction limits, which will allow individual and commercial users to complete high-amount transfers within seconds, will officially begin to be applied in the system starting from August 26, 2026.
