According to the budget implementation results announced by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Turkey's central government budget provided a surplus of 12.9 billion liras in August, while the total deficit in the first eight months of the year reached 1 trillion 308.1 billion liras.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance shared the central government budget implementation results for August with the public.

According to the released data, budget revenues were recorded at 1 trillion 654.9 billion liras in August.

Revenue and Expenditure Growth Rates

In August, budget expenditures reached the level of 1 trillion 642.1 billion liras, and the budget posted a surplus of 12.9 billion liras.

While budget revenues showed an increase of 28.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, expenditures rose by 37.8 percent.

January-August Period Developments

During the January-August period covering the first eight months of the year, the central government budget gave a total deficit of 1 trillion 308.1 billion liras.

In this period, budget revenues increased by 36 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, rising to 10 trilyon 854.7 milyar lira.

Eight-Month Expenditure Breakdown

Central government budget expenditures recorded an increase of 36.8 percent in the January-August period.

Total expenditures in the eight-month process reached the level of 12 trilyon 162.7 milyar lira.
