Cevdet Yılmaz Announces Statements on Capital Markets and Export Targets

Speaking at the Istanbul Commerce Congress, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that there are no structural problems in Turkey's capital markets and that the markets will be more resilient in the future.
Capital Markets and Financing
Stating that there are no structural problems in Turkey's capital markets, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz expressed that periodic disruptions will be left behind.
New Financing Package
It was announced that a new production-oriented financing package amounting to 250 billion TL has been put into effect to ease the burden on industrialists and exporters.
It was stated that the scope of rediscount credits will be expanded and bureaucratic procedures will be streamlined to improve the investment climate.
Export and Growth Targets
It was reported that as of August 2026, annualized goods exports climbed to 280 billion dollars, while service exports reached the level of 125 billion dollars.
In line with the Medium-Term Program vision, total goods and service exports are targeted to reach 450 billion dollars by 2029.
Macroeconomic Indicators
It was emphasized that despite the fiscal burden brought by the earthquake disaster, the budget deficit has been kept at a manageable level of around 3 percent relative to national income.
It was noted that the current account deficit is projected to remain below 3 percent by the end of the year.
