Conditions and prices announced for rental social housing project in Istanbul
The process begins for Istanbul under the rental social housing model, which will be implemented for the first time in Turkey. In the project where 1071 residences will be rented in the first phase, applications will be received via e-Government.
Details of the rental social housing model, to be applied for the first time in Turkey, have become clear. Within the scope of the project planned for low-income citizens in Istanbul, 1071 residences will be rented in the first phase, and keys will be delivered in October.
Application Schedule and Process
Applications for the rental social housing campaign to be carried out in Istanbul will be received free of charge.
Candidates will be able to make their applications via e-Government through TOKİ services between September 14 and September 25, 2026.
Regions Where Residences Are Located
Within the scope of the project, the residences in Istanbul are located in districts divided into four different groups.
The first group includes Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, and Üsküdar; the second group includes Maltepe, Tuzla, and Kartal.
While the third group includes Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Beyoğlu, and Güngören, Arnavutköy constitutes the fourth group.
Rental Prices and Apartment Types
Initial rental figures within the campaign vary depending on apartment types.
Accordingly, the rent for 1+1 residences has been determined as 10,000 TL, for 2+1 residences as 12,000 TL, for 3+1 residences as 15,000 TL, and for 4+1 residences as 18,000 TL.
Who Can Apply
Applicants are required to be citizens of the Republic of Turkey and to have completed the age of 18 as of the application date.
In addition, applicants are required to be married, while this condition will not be required for those who have reached the age of 65.
Income and Residency Conditions
Candidates are required to have continuously resided in the Address Registration System within the provincial borders of Istanbul for the past year.
Persons who do not have an independent residence registered in the title deed must not have a monthly average household net income exceeding the 100 thousand TL limit for the last 12 months.
