The Ministry of Labor and Social Security held a consultation meeting with worker and employer representatives for next-generation working models and legislative changes within the framework of the Medium-Term Program covering the 2027-2029 period.

Tripartite Advisory Board Meeting

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has initiated the consultation process for new models and potential legislative changes in working life. The Tripartite Advisory Board convened under the chairmanship of Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan.

Medium-Term Program Targets

The main agenda item of the meeting consisted of the next-generation working models included in the Medium-Term Program covering the 2027-2029 period. The topics of protecting employee rights and increasing labor force participation were evaluated.

Goal of Updating Legislation

Minister Işıkhan stated that the aim is to make the legislation clearer, more predictable, and more applicable in parallel with the changing working life. The protection of employees' rights and guarantees was emphasized as the primary priority in the regulations to be prepared.

International Models and Stakeholder Participation

It was conveyed that working models in European countries were examined and a structure balanced with Turkey's needs is being attempted to be established. Representatives from TÜRK-İŞ, HAK-İŞ, DİSK, and TİSK participated in the consultation meeting.
