The statement emphasized that real sector investments in Turkey have suffered a serious loss of appeal compared to financial instruments.
Resource Proposal for the Automotive Sector
Deputy Karabat stated that with the available resources of 500 billion liras, 10 automobile factories with a total production capacity of 1.5 million vehicles per year could be established. It was calculated that these investments could also provide new employment areas for approximately 50,000 people.
Solar Energy Investment Potential
It was stated that with the same financial resource, approximately 20 solar energy technology investments, reaching an annual production capacity of 40 gigawatts, could be implemented. Attention was drawn to the importance of such strategic steps in terms of energy independence.
Systemic Preferences and Financial Orientation
It was argued that companies turning towards high-yield financial instruments instead of establishing new factories and increasing capacity is a direct result of the current economic order. This situation was noted to undermine the production-oriented growth model.
Change in Reward and Punishment System
Making evaluations through carry trade, interest incomes, price movements in funds, and elements of the informal economy, Karabat expressed that the reward and punishment mechanism in the economy has been reversed.
