Da Nang's Economy Grew by Over 10 Percent in the First Nine Months of 2026

The city of Da Nang recorded a growth rate of 10.31 percent in the first nine months of 2026, with an accelerating momentum quarter by quarter, establishing a strong foundation for the remainder of the year.

The socio-economic situation of Da Nang city grew with an accelerating momentum quarter by quarter in the first nine months of 2026, recording an increase of 10.31 percent and establishing a strong foundation for the rest of the year.

Quarterly Growth and Ranking

Da Nang's gross domestic product increased steadily each quarter, growing by 9.31 percent in the first quarter, 9.66 percent in the second quarter, and 11.83 percent in the third quarter.

With a growth rate of 10.31 percent in the first nine months, the city ranked 9th among 34 localities nationwide.

Contribution of the Service Sector

The service sector accounted for more than half of the increase in gross domestic product, with added value rising by 10.55 percent.

Accommodation and food services recorded an increase of 14.52 percent, transportation and warehousing 13.75 percent, and wholesale and retail trade 12.08 percent.

Tourism and Visitor Growth

Accommodation establishments served approximately 15.862 million visitors, achieving a 26.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The number of international visitors increased by 28.7 percent to exceed 7.732 million, while domestic visitors reached approximately 8.130 million.

Investment and Construction Sector

The industry and construction sector grew by 11.43 percent, contributing to the overall growth, while the construction sector surged by 22.26 percent.

Total estimated social investment reached 88.012 trillion VND, a 42.3 percent increase, with the non-state sector accounting for 70.1 percent of total investment.

Industrial Production and Trade Balance

The city's overall industrial production index rose by 10 percent, while the added value of the processing and manufacturing sector increased by 10.78 percent.

Total goods import and export turnover reached approximately 7.4 billion US dollars, resulting in a trade surplus of 245.8 million US dollars.

Budget Revenues and Social Security

State budget revenues in the region reached 69.1578 trillion VND, showing a 71.4 percent increase and providing resources for development investments.

Within the scope of policies supporting employment and social security, job placements and unemployment benefit support were provided to thousands of people.
