Decline recorded in Central Bank reserves in the first week of September
According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, gross and net reserves experienced a decline in the first week of September.
The downward trend in the gross and net foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey continued in the first week of September. According to official data released, millions of dollars of decreases were observed in reserve items.
Change in Gross Reserves
According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in the week ending September 4, gross reserves fell by 4 billion dollars, dropping to a total level of 184.2 billion dollars.
Net Reserves Declined
Within the same week, net reserves also experienced a drop of approximately 1 billion dollars, pulling back to the level of 65.7 billion dollars.
Net Reserves Excluding Swaps
The Central Bank's net reserves excluding swaps also declined during the relevant period, falling from 55.9 billion dollars to 53.4 billion dollars.
