Experts state that the attacks by Iran and its proxy forces against Saudi Arabia and Bab el-Mandeb aim to prevent the partnership between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.
It is stated that behind Iran's attacks targeting Yemen and Saudi Arabia through its proxy forces lies a strategy to prevent the planned establishment of the Mecca Alliance between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.
Iran's Regional Strategy and the Houthis
Iran aims to spread the crisis in the region by targeting Bab el-Mandeb and Saudi Arabia through the Houthis. Having established control in key areas along the Red Sea axis, the Houthis have achieved significant dominance on the lines bordering Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
Assessments by a Yemeni Analyst
Yemeni analyst Redhwan Al-Khutabi stated that the attacks are directed by Iranian commanders and that Saudi Arabia's oil regions were struck simultaneously. Khutabi noted that these moves are indicative of a crisis plan that encompasses the entire region.
The Bab el-Mandeb Line and Global Dimension
It was noted that Iran wants to add Bab el-Mandeb to its Hormuz card, aiming to paralyze trade routes through this more easily controlled strait. Striking critical points in Saudi Arabia also serves the purpose of spreading tension to the region.

Middle East analyst Mustafa Özcan emphasized that the main goal of the strategy to besiege Bab el-Mandeb and strike Saudi Arabia is to nip the Mecca Alliance formed by Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia in the bud.
